ABOUT WILDERNESS PARK

Lawrence County Wilderness Park is located on Yatesville Lake. There is approximately 80 acres of scenic woods, hills, and Yatesville Lake. Perfect for swimming, lounging, fishing, and all around fun.

Lawrence County Wilderness Park is located just adjacent to the Yatesville Lake State Park Campground and the Boat Launching Ramp. The secluded, rustic park is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Louisa-take US 23 to KY Route 3215 to the park entrance.

THE BUILDINGS

There are 15 tent sites, 14 RV sites and 9 Cabins in the park, 3 open shelters with picnic tables, and charcoal grills. There is an amphitheater perfect for weddings, and music events. We also have a Conference Center shelter. The Center features a full kitchen, men’s and women’s bathrooms, a porch that wraps around most of the building and woods all around. There is Heat and Air Conditioning and there is handicap accessibility.

GENERAL STORE

The General Store offers an array of items. Pop, snacks, ice cream, some camping supplies, firewood, bait, and some tackle. And a fishing license can be purchased at the Park Office.
